Description | The RSJT is a new Situational Judgement Test designed specifically for the railways. It is available online now to assess how effectively your candidates will manage working in a safety critical role within a railway environment. For each scenario the candidate is presented with four options and has to put them in priority order with the best option first, then the next best option and so on. This allows you to objectively assess how your candidates are likely to respond in a given work situation. | The RTQ profiles specific personality traits, attitudes and behavioural styles that are associated with those working in a safety critical environment and specifically the prevention of errors or incidents. It is suitable for use in any safety critical industry or any safety critical role. Positive risk anticipation and effective time focus have been linked to safe and effective performance, as well as the prevention of errors or incidents. The RTQ is therefore ideal as a recruitment tool for those embarking on a safety critical role or as a development tool to understand an individual’s preferred style within their safety critical role. The questionnaire consists of 4 scales, with 58 questions relating to risk anticipation and time focus competencies. | The SAFEPQ profiles the specific personality traits, attitudes and behavioural styles that have been empirically linked to safe working behaviour. The questionnaire consists of 4 scales relating directly to 4 key safety competencies and it has 13 sub-scales. It is ideal for use with any role where safe working is essential, for example where an individual's action can impact on his/her own safety, colleagues' safety or the safety of the public. The SAFEPQ consists of 115 questions. Expert Online ReportsWe have developed reports that can be generated online based on the SAFEPQ profile of a candidate. These reports can help you decide if your applicants have the right personality to work in a safety critical role and help you determine if they will be a safe pair of hands? The reports are:
These reports were developed based on over 15 years of research undertaken by the Occupational Psychology Centre (OPC) exploring the link between scores on the SAFEPQ and subsequent training, job and safety performance. |
