Description
The RPI is a role play exercise in which candidates demonstrate their capability to deal with a difficult customer in a revenue protection environment.
The candidate is presented with information about their role in a fictitious transport company and the customer service standards and rules for carrying out the role. The candidate is then required to check the customer's ticket, the customer role being taken by the assessor, who becomes increasingly difficult during the interaction.
The assessor has a script and a form for use during the role play and a structured rating form for use afterwards to ensure that candidates can be evaluated consistently between different assessors and against a standardised benchmark for reliable decisions. No acting ability is required.
