Description
The Roadeo Maintenance Role Play Exercise is a true-to-life management scenario that a manager or supervisor might have to deal with. The candidate plays the role of a new manager with a fictitious maintenance company. Prior to the role play the candidate is given a detailed brief about their role, together with important background information about the company. For the role play the candidate is asked to undertake an informal interview with a long-standing employee who is experiencing performance difficulties.
The exercise is suitable for management and supervisor level and can be used to help recruit for these key positions or develop employees currently in post. The exercise does not require the candidate to have any prior knowledge or experience of managing others.
Two Role Play Exercises are available:
- Role Play 1
The candidate role plays a manager and the assessor role plays a team leader/supervisor.
High Level - Suitable for Middle managers. - Role Play 2
The candidate role plays a manager and the assessor role plays a front-line employee.
Intermediate Level - Suitable for Team leaders/supervisors and front-line managers.
